How To Survive Your Period This Summer

How To Survive Your Period This Summer

Summer is finally here and you know what that means! Your period is gonna try the best it can to get in the way of your summer fun. But you can't let it! You can’t let your period win! Not this time anyway. The summer is all about having the most fun you possibly can before it gets cold outside. Which means vacation, beaches, pool parties and, HEAT. So keep on reading if you need to survive the summer with your period!

An Ice Pack

One of the best ways to relieve period cramps is to use a heating pad or a hot water bottle. But how are you going to use a heating pad during the summer when temperatures can get into the 100s. Using a heating pad in the summer does not sound (or feel) ideal. A great way to get around this is to also have an ice pack on hand to cool you down everywhere else! This hack is great if you don't have AC in your house and you need some relief from the heat while also getting some relief from the cramps.

Ruby Love Swimwear

A huge concern for most women during the summer is the fact that they might have a chance to go swimming but they are on their period so they don't know how to approach that. Especially for women who can’t wear tampons or just prefer not to wear tampons, swimming in the summer can be really hard. Some women even choose not to swim while on their period because they are too worried about the use of tampons. Enter Ruby Love swimwear! This swimwear holds up to 3 tampons worth of flow so that you can be leak-free while splashing around in the ocean or pool! And they're cute too! Who knew that period swimwear could look as cute as they do?  Swim with confidence this summer.

Comfortable Shorts

Since it’s summer, we’re guessing jeans aren't really going to be part of your wardrobe. So you would think that shorts would be the way to go, and you'd be right! But not all shorts are good as “period shorts,” right? Tight denim shorts are probably not the best choice for when you are bloated and uncomfortable during this time of the month. They’ll keep it all in, but at what cost. No, you need a pair of comfy shorts. A pair of shorts that stretch. A pair of shorts that won't betray you and make you feel more bloated than you already are.

Ice Cream

It’s summer. It’s hot. It’s gross outside. What could you have to cool you down while also satisfying your craving for something sweet? Ice cream… DUH! Ice cream is the best summer treat there ever was and it's an even better treat to have during your time of the month. Just imagine how satisfying it would be to have a big ole’ bowl of ice cream on a hot summer's day while you are also suffering from your period. Honestly, sounds pretty amazing to me!
