Birth control is known as one of the best and most effective ways to regulate your period, but for some, that’s not the case. You can experience more irregular periods within the first 3 months of starting a new method of birth control and can even out over time. If it continues to happen for longer than 3 months, consider seeing your doctor.
Some women who have chronic conditions can sometimes experience late or missed periods. For example, if you have celiac but you have gluten, that could create a domino effect and make your period late.
