Back To School Tips And Tricks

It’s finally back to school season and that means it’s time to get it together before school starts! School can be a stressful time for some teens. We’re trying to fix that! Here are a few tips and tricks for you if you are stressin’ out about school starting up soon!

Put Your Class Schedule On Your Lockscreen

The first few weeks of school is gonna be all about learning when and where your classes are. If you are the type of person that is forgetful and you struggle with learning your class schedule then this is the perfect school hack for you! Just take a screenshot or picture of your class schedule (make sure it can fit on your phone screen), and make it your backdrop on your phone. Easy as pie!

Study Before You Go To Sleep

No, we are not saying wait until the last second to study for your tests! We don't condone procrastination (even though we’ve all done it). We are just suggesting that when you do need to study that you do it before heading off to bed rather than doing it right when you get home from school! This is because when you study right before bed your brain has a chance to process all the information you learned while you sleep peacefully!

Write Things Down When You Read Them

This might be a tedious task for some people but honestly… it WORKS! I mean you could say this is basically just you taking notes but it's so much more than that! Rather than just highlighting important information in your textbook, write down the important information as well. It will help you remember the information if you have to think about writing it down. It’s like double the studying but in the same amount of time so… you’re welcome. Just try it, it works!

Take Study Breaks

Hopefully, I’m not the first person to tell you this but STUDY BREAKS ARE IMPORTANT! It’s not good for you to go for hours on end studying your little heart away. While you may think that you will retain more information this way but you won't! That's just facts. Try studying for 25-30 minutes, then take a 5-minute break to get up, stretch, maybe even have a little snack! We don't recommend getting on your phone and going on social media during this break though. That will just suck you into a hole and the next thing you know you’re on the weird side of the internet.

Always Be Prepared

One of the worst things that could happen to you at school is getting your period in the middle of class and finding that you have ZERO period protection with you. But there is an easy solution to this age-old problem! When you know that time of the month is approaching, wear Ruby Love underwear! This will save you if you start your period in the middle of class but you can't get up to check in the restroom. You also might want to keep a Ruby Love double-sided pad in your locker as well if you know it’s going to be one of those heavy flow days. Trust me, you’ll be thanking me later for this tip!
